Support comedy evening

Joe Parker, a legendary South African stand-up comedian, will perform at a fundraising event.

CELEBRATE Life SA will host a Curry and Comedy Evening with Joe Parker at the Umhlali Country Club in Ballito on Friday, 23 March at 7pm.

Parker, a legendary South African stand-up comedian, boasts a career that spans three decades, where his cheeky defiance of all things politically correct combined with innovative, provocative storytelling, have endeared him to at least three generations of comedy lovers in our country. A fine musician to boot, he isn’t shy to pull out his guitar and treat his audience to a few rib-tickling songs.

Proceeds from the comedy evening will go towards Celebrate Life’s SA Ubuntu Oven Project. The Oven Project’s goal is to raise R2 million this year to equip rural women with the skill and facility to create and operate their own micro bakeries, servicing the immediate community, Spaza Shops, schools and crèches with their baked breads, snowballs, pizzas and muffins.

Tickets at R350 are available at Umhlali Country Club, Gentry (Lifestyle Centre), the Loaf Café (Lifestyle Centre) or contact Cherry at 082 440 1730.
