Baroque 2000 launches season

The two main works are scored for strings, woodwinds and brass.

TWO of the greatest compositions, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no 1 and Handel’s Water Music, will be performed by Baroque 2000 at the first concert of their exciting 2018 Season on Sunday 11 March at the Church of the Monastery Mariannhill at 11.30am.

The two main works, scored for strings, woodwinds and brass, are complemented by the Sinfonia a 3 in C – Turcaria, by JJ Fux.

Tickets are R150 at the door, and subscriptions can now be purchased giving reserved seats for the eight concert series at R1 200. The monastery tea garden will be open, and there is ample free and secure parking. Contact Michel on 082 303 5241 or sursouth@iafrica.com.
