Nibs brings collaboration tour to Durban

Nibs van der Spuy and Yasamin Shahhosseini will host two shows in Durban next week.

ACCLAIMED South African folk roots guitarist, Nibs van der Spuy will join forces with Iranian oud virtuoso, Yasamin Shahhosseini for a South African tour, performing in Durban on Tuesday, 20 and Wednesday, 21 February.

Nibs said: “I never been as excited about a collaboration since Yasamin and I decided to work together. She is so rooted in her deep Persian tradition, but yet at the same time she wants to fuse her influences with my Southern African and global folk and world styles. Living in different continents, we have already started the creative process, by sending each other ideas. This has really stretched me by leaps and bounds and I truly believe something special is going to come out of this.”
