Siberian Trio for Friends recital

The Siberian Trio, featuring pianist, Liezl-Maret Jacobs, violinist, Elena Kerimova and cellist, Boris Kerimov will perform at Durban Jewish Centre.

FRIENDS of Music Association presents the Siberian Trio, featuring pianist, Liezl-Maret Jacobs, violinist, Elena Kerimova and cellist, Boris Kerimov at its next recital on 19 September at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road at 7.30pm.

Their programme will feature Joseph Haydn’s Piano Trio No. 39 in G major, Hob.XV/25 “Gypsy”, Anton Arensky’s Piano Trio No.1 in D minor op. 32 and Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio No.2 in Eb, D.929, Op.100.

Prelude performer will be saxophonist Rachel Luyt, (16), who has been playing the saxophone for five years. Her love of music extends to playing the piano, cello, marimbas and djembe drums. She is a member of various music ensembles at her school, St Mary’s DSG in Kloof. She is member of the KZN Wind Band and has performed with the KZNPO. She will be accompanied by Liezl Maret-Jacobs.

Tickets are R100 (visitors), R80 (members) and R20 for students and orchestra members. Tickets available at the door.
