Jazz group recreate a night in New Orleans
The Jazz Minkeys will perform at The Prep Room Cafe this weekend.
DURBAN jazz group, the Jazz Minkeys will perform on 28 and 29 July at the Prep Room Cafe (Glenwood Prep School) at 7pm.
The eight-piece post-modern jazz orchestra includes some of the UKZN full time staff and some of the cream of jazz musicians from Durban. The group have put together a show called A Night Down in New Orleans at Egyptian Ellas Club which involves themed food, a great story, a mad Maitre D and hip narrator and tells the story of a dancing girl from New Orleans with Egyptian heritage.
Tickets are R300 which includes a live cooking performance, New Orleans and Egyptian fusion menu, BYO alcohol.
