Award winning musicians for Friends recital

The Trio Esperanza is made up of South African pianist, Kerryn Wisniewski, Russian cellist, Polina Burdukova and South African flautist, Liesl Stoltz.

THE Trio Esperanza will perform at the next Friends of Music Association recital on Tuesday, 18 July at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban at 7.30pm.

The Trio Esperanza is made up of South African pianist, Kerryn Wisniewski, Russian cellist, Polina Burdukova and South African flautist, Liesl Stoltz.

The trio is a combination of these award winning and critically acclaimed musicians that have been successfully performing together and separately around the country and abroad.

The programme includes Hummel's Trio in A major, Op. 78, Tann's Gardens of Anna Maria Luise de’ Medici, Gaubert's Three Watercolours and Kapustin's Trio Op. 86.

Prelude performer is 14-year-old violinist, Tasmin Hastings, a learner at Durban Girls High School. She will be accompanied by Bobby Mills.

Tickets cost R80 for members, R100 for visitors and R20 for orchestral members and students.
