Tour indigenous gardens

BotSoc presents a tour of a treasure trove in Atholl Heights.

THE Botanical Society of SA KZN Coastal Branch will host one hour-long walking tour around an attractive 1.5 acre indigenous garden in Atholl Heights, Westville, on Saturday, 10 June, with tours at 9am and 11am.

The homeowner will lead the tours and point out special features and plants in the garden which has a wide variety of interesting indigenous shrubs, trees and smaller plants as well as a pond. The garden is on the top of sandstone cliffs overlooking the Aller River valley and blends naturally into the D’MOSS area to the north. Wear walking shoes to be able to explore this delightful hillside garden fully.

After the tour, refreshments will be provided.

Booking and pre-payment are essential at R55 for BotSoc members, R65 for visitors and R35 for children under 12. Price includes tea and cake. Proceeds to BotSoc branch projects.

To book, email: botsoc-kzn@mweb.co.za or phone 031 201 5111 on Mondays and Thursdays 10am to 4pm or on 071 869 3693.
