Family friendly comedy at Easter festival
The Easter Comedy Festival will be at Sibaya Casino this weekend.
LAUGH your way through the long weekend with the Easter Comedy Festival at Sibaya Casino from 14 to 16 April.
The family friendly show boasts a line-up of some of Durban’s finest comedians including a pair who’re actually closely related and both doing extremely well on the local comedy scene.
Durban’s own YouTube viral sensation, Annalakshmi (Anasia Govender) took audiences by storm with her parody video of a hit Ed Sheeran song, enticing customers to visit her restaurant, Chilli Kadhai. The chef-by-day, stand-up-comic-by-night has been blazing stages across town.
Her son, and rising comedy star in his own right, Kamz Govender, has advanced in just a few months from open mic gigs to headlining shows, sharing stages with the likes of John Vlismas, Loyiso Gola and Dillan Oliphant and he even performed at the esteemed Cape Town Comedy Club recently.
Added to the heavyweights bringing on the long weekend laughs are hit comedians Carvin H Goldstone, Arnotte Payne, Mfundo Ndovela, Darryl Williams, Andrew Hughes and more.
The 100 per cent clean show is the ideal way to relax with your loved ones over a bundle of laughs and nostalgia on the long weekend.
Shows start at 8pm on Friday and Saturday and at 3pm on Sunday.
