Food meets fine art and wine

Enjoy good wine, spectacular food and an opportunity to appreciate the arts.

FOODIES will not want to miss out on the next foodie evening on Saturday, 28 January at uShaka Marine World’s Cargo Hold at 6pm, where it won’t be just about good wine and spectacular food, but also an opportunity to appreciate the arts.

Cargo Hold has teamed up with the Artisan Gallery which is well known for its artworks created by established and up-and-coming South African artists, primarily from KZN. Their displayed art are all handmade, unique, featuring work from a wide variety of disciplines, both traditional and contemporary.

The works of art which will be displayed at Cargo Hold on the night will include ceramics by John Shirley, known for his quality bone china, well-known and highly respected paint works by John Smith, fine art from Thami Mnyele, painted works by Nhlanhla Chonco and sculptured work in wood, bronze and bone by Carl Roberts, among others.

The various works of arts on display can be purchased on the night.
