The surfing contest is the opening event for the Umhlanga Summer Festival 2016 which is supported by Just Juice. Surfers of all ages and abilities are invited and welcome to take part and there will be a novice division for beginners. Spectators will also be rewarded with exciting prizes and lucky draws throughout the two days.

This will be followed with non-stop action on the Millennium Stage at the Main Beach of Umhlanga where top entertainer and World Champion line dancer, Kevin Ellis and his team of Just Juice ambassadors will be keeping the crowds entertained and refreshed with lots of prizes.

On Friday 16 December, the 2016 Mr and Miss Umhlanga will be crowned. Last year more than 100 competitors entered the various divisions ranging from small children to moms. The winners of the Open ladies and men will each win a weekend away at the Lord of the Manors Boutique Hotel in the Midlands valued at R5 000.
