Support Sunday Jazz at St Aidan’s

Get down to St Aidan's Church for a Sunday afternoon of jazz with the acclaimed Melvin Peters and friends on Sunday, 20 November.

ST AIDAN’S Church will host a fundraising Sunday Jazz evening at the church hall (33 ML Sultan Road) on Sunday, 20 November from 2 to 5pm.

The line up will include Durban Living Legend Melvin Peters who started piano lessons at the age of six. In 1981 he embarked on a Bachelor of Music degree at the (then) University of Natal. In 1983 Peters studied jazz piano under the tutelage of Darius Brubeck.

Thereafter he completed a Master of Music degree (1989) in Jazz Performance and was appointed lecturer in Jazz Studies at the University of Durban-Westville (UDW) in 1990.

Peters will be joined by Eric Gabriel and other musical friends at the evening.

Tickets cost R40 (pensioners R30). Bring your own snack and drinks allowed.
