Clermont choir gets great mayoral send off

The City held a farewell breakfast send for Clermont Choir who set off to conduct music development workshops and assist choirs in Venda, Limpopo.

DURBAN ambassadors, the Clermont Choir got a great send off with a mayoral breakfast function at Moses Mabhida Stadium were they were honoured ahead of their trip to Limpopo this month.

The mayor of EThekwini hosted the media breakfast to bid farewell to the well celebrated Clermont Choir as they are heading North from 22 to 26 September. The choir will conduct music development workshops and assist choirs in Venda, Limpopo during their visit.

“The Clermont Choir is humbled by this exposure and will remain good ambassadors of EThekwini. Whilst in Limpopo, they will be promoting the city of EThekwini and Essence Durban Festival,” said the choir’s Wiseman Mkhize

Durban Tourism’s Phillip Sithole said the choir would be good ambassadors for Durban.

Clermont Choir were honoured with a mayroal breakfast send off at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Clermont Choir showed off their vocal talent with a rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Chief Whip of Council Nelly Nyanisa deleivered the mayor’s address in her absence.
