Back by public demand and for the final time KZN’s favourite entertainers from Dingaling Productions bring you The Lahnees Pleasure, the masterpiece by esteemed playwright Ronnie Govender.

The play took KZN audiences by storm 40 years ago and still holds the record for the longest playing sold out performance of any play in South Africa.

The Dingalings pay tribute to this living legend with Yugan Naidoo’s directorial expertise of this comedy. The play features the talents of Henry Ramkissoon, Koobeshen Naidoo, Melvyn Davids, father and son duo, Satchu Annamalai, Rishawn Annamalai. It takes audiences on a nostalgic journey back to the 50s in the farming community of Mount Edgecombe, which despite the hardships of poverty and an oppressive apartheid system manages to cling onto their cultural roots and identity.

A must see for young and old members of the audience to understand our rich heritage and just how much we have grown as a community.

Lahnees Pleasure plays at the Sibaya Izulu theatre from Friday, 5 August at 8pm, Saturday 6 at 5pm and 8pm and Sunday 7 August at 6pm .
