Mali Zulu for The Still Sessions

KZN musician, Mali Zulu, will perform at The Still Sessions on 6 July.

KZN musician, Mali Zulu and his band will be at The Still Sessions at Distillery031, 1st Floor The Foundry, 43 Station Drive, on Wednesday 6 July from 6pm.

Mali Zulu is a talented musician born in a village called KwaMaphumulo, on the outskirts of Stanger. He grew up singing in school choirs from Grade 1 and in Grade 12 he was selected for the Northern KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir, where he received practical coaching and travelled throughout South Africa.

He is a musician at heart and his life is driven by music. In 2014 he entered Idols Season 10 and made it to the top 31. Following this Mali landed a record deal and started working on his own compositions. He has since been performing a lot and has graced the stage at some of SA’s most beautiful venues and festivals. His biggest dream is to have his own studio, so he could offer other people a chance to experience producing their own music and succeeding in their careers.

Mali will perform at The Still Sessions with a three-piece acoustic band, including Mali on lead vocals and guitar, Qin Zungu on acoustic guitar and vocals and Skippy Khubeka on bass.

His latest single titled “Try” is available online and he is currently working on an EP.
