Young talent for Still Sessions

Enjoy vocal talent of 16-year-old Kianja at The Still Sessions.

UK based vocalist Kianja will share her vocal talent at The Still Sessions at Distillery031, The Foundry in Station Drive, Durban, on Wednesday 25 May from 6pm.

Kianja has been writing and performing songs that show a maturity and skill far above what could normally be expected from a 16-year-old.

In three short years Kianja has gained a scholarship at a Jazz Music school in Durban, performed at the Edinburgh Festival, released a couple of singles, worked with the Jazz Warriors/Tomorrows Warriors, won the Bang Radio sponsored Bang Your Buskie competition, taken her GCSEs and been accepted to study music at the Brit School where she started in September 2015.

At The Still Sessions, Kianja will be performing with an acoustic band and will bring the audience songs from her EP. It will be a mix of songs she recorded in South Africa and in UK. Copies of her EP titled Nu Blu Flame will be on sale.

Tickets are R70, available at www.webtickets.co.za and at Pick ‘n Pay.
