Celebrate your mom with music at the lake

There will be a musical spectacle fit for a queen at the Durban Botanic Gardens this Mother’s Day.

MAKE Mother’s Day more special this year by getting the family together, packing a picnic basket and treating your mom to a beautiful afternoon of music at the Durban Botanic Gardens on Sunday, 8 May.

The Old Mutual Music at the Lake’s traditional Mother’s Day concert is back this year with a line-up of stirring performances by South Africa’s most notable rock star Arno Carstens and Durban based songbird, Chloe Clark. Arno will be backed by the 50-strong KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Chloe Clark, who launched her EP earlier this month, is no stranger to the South African music scene. Her exceptional vocal attributes have recently seen her wow audiences of the local singing competition The Voice, and also making it into the Top 30 of Idols SA in 2014.

Tickets are available online at www.webtickets.co.za at R140 for adults online, or R160 at the gate on the day. Children between eight and 12 years pay R60 and children under eight are free. All children are welcome at the KidZone for some extra fun and games.

Drinks, cooler boxes and picnic baskets are welcome. Gates open at 1pm and the show starts at 2pm.
