Calling all Fawlty fans

Annie Robinson and Mark Mulder will perform a show based on one of their favourite BBC sitcoms from the 70s.

RHUMBELOW Theatre in Umbilo presents Tarty Flowers, with Annie Robinson and Mark Mulder, on Sunday 24 April at 2pm and 6.30pm.

There’s only one Fawlty Towers – and there’s no other married couple quite like Basil and Sybil.

The BBC television sitcom from the 1970s, voted the best British TV series of all time, has fans all over the world, including Annie Robinson and Mark Mulder.

Confirmed Fawlty fans since the ‘70s, gifted South African comedienne Annie and accomplished Mark, currently back on SABC TV in The Game, now get the chance to share the uniquely Fawlty experience with KZN audiences in their new two-hander comedy show, Tarty Flowers.

Devised and directed by Paul Spence, Tarty Flowers is pure, delicious Fawlty fun from first word to last. The much put-upon Basil, bossy Sybil, eccentric waiter Manuel and pretty Polly are all there – and the audience suddenly get the distinct feeling that they are guests in the dining room of the infamous Torquay hotel.

The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner. Take food picnic baskets and braais will be available should you wish to cook some meat.

Tickets are R140 and R120 for pensioners and block bookings of eight or more.

Booking is essential through Computicket or contact Roland for bookings on roland@stansell.za.net or 082 499 8636.
