Leap Day for frogs at Springside

DR Jeanne Tarrant, the country's leading amphibian expert, will explain why frogs are important, as a lead-up to Leap Day for Frogs

HILLCREST Conservancy is hosting a family evening on Friday 8 January, starting at 5pm, in anticipation of Leap Day For frogs.

Take the family to Springside Nature Reserve to support this event. It will be led by South Africa’s leading amphibian expert, Dr Jeanne Tarrant.

Participants need to take along their wellies and a strong torch. Frogs love the rain so go along even if the weather is not perfect.

If the family would like to picnic there are facilities under the trees and under cover.

The entry fee is R20 a person, the funds going to the ETW Threatened Amphibian Programme.

Booking is essential as parking is limited to a maximum of 25 cars.
