Water-savvy gardening at plant fair

Don't miss this year's BotSoc Indigenous Plant Fair at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

THE annual BotSoc (Botanical Society) Indigenous Plant Fair is back from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August from 9am to 5pm. The fair is being held in partnership with the Sustainable Living Exhibition at the Durban Exhibition Centre. A wide range of good quality, water-wise plants, flowering ground covers, shrubs, and trees will be available and plant experts will be on hand to ably assist queries. The 2015 Indigenous Gardening Handbook – Planting Solutions – full of excellent advice on gardening challenges, will be on sale at the fair, as well as at nurseries and other outlets shortly before the fair. The content will include descriptions of plants on sale with recommendations of where, how and what to plant.

Other interests at the fair are plant displays and talks. Visit the exhibitions inside the hall for information about flora, fauna, conservation and for inspiration for living a green lifestyle. Food and drinks will be available and this promises to be a fun day out for the family.

Entrance is free.
