Snoopy fundraiser for charity

Community Chest will hold a fundraising evening at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.

THE Community Chest brings you the delightful mini-musical-comedy, Snoopy, based on the much-loved, ever-popular Peanuts comic strips, on Saturday, 15 August at Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre at 7pm.

Direction is by Steven Stead and Charon WIlliams-Ros, musical direction by Justin Southey and design by Greg King.

Snoopy features all the familiar cartoon characters and is funny, heartwarming family entertainment that will appeal to adults just as much than to children,

Snoopy is a story of the human condition and is about a group of friends experiencing emotions, predicaments and situations familiar to us all.

They are trying to make sense of the concept of “time”, all the while resenting the present and longing for a time that was good. The message is 'we shouldn't judge people too easily, we’re all in this together. It’s our solutions to life’s challenges that make us different.'

The score of Snoopy is a real treat – from hauntingly beautiful ballads, catchy choruses and lively refrains.

This is a fundraising event for Community Chest. Cost R180.
