JOHANNESBURG funny-man Robby Collins will have the audience in stitches as he entertains at the Amsterdam Comedy Club on 27 May and the New York Bar on 28 May.
Robby Collins is another one of Trevor Noah’s favourite comedians and is considered one of the most prominent faces of the new generation of South African comedians.
Robby has played to some of the biggest audiences in SA with appearances at The Heavy Weight Comedy Jam, Kings and Queens of Comedy and Comedy Central Live at Parkers.
This highly talented comedian was personally selected as Trevor Noah’s opening act at over 70 of Trevor’s shows across the country, including his latest country-wide sold-out tour: Nation Wild!
He earned a well-deserved nomination for Breakthrough Act of the Year at the 2011 and 2012 Comics Choice Awards, and even received a highly coveted Emmy Nomination for his writing on Late Night News with Loyiso Gola.
His recent winning of a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the 2014 National Arts Fest for his one-man show This Bushman’s Crazy!
The show at Amsterdam Bar, 143 Helen Joseph Roa, Glenwood, on 27 May at 8.30pm, will be hosted by the hilarious Jem Atkins, and also includes Justice Khubeka and Ryan Whittal.
