Dancers aim to compete overseas

The Federation of Dance Sport South Africa will host a dance competition at UKZN’s Edgewood Campus.

THE Federation of Dance Sport South Africa (FEDANSA) will host a dance competition on 25 April,the KZN World Trial at UKZN’s Edgewood Campus from 10am until midnight.

FEDANSA is a non-profit organisation that encourages Dance Sport in South Africa namely ballroom and Latin American dance. It has members across all over South Africa. A world trial competition is a competition where other dancers from the other provinces are invited to take part in the contest with the goal to obtain points. The couple that obtains the most points by the end of the season gets an opportunity to represent South Africa internationally.

There will be a high level of dancing and high team spirits as teams go head to head for the spot in the final and eventually winning the contest.
