Queens perform in Valentine’s show

The Family Players will perform in a Valentine's show featuring the Queens of the Opera.

THE Rhumbelow Theatre in Cunningham Avenue (off Bartle Road), Umbilo, presents 'Queens of the Opera: Valentine is Such a Drag' with the Family Players, Allan Quihampton, Derek Pearce, Greg Baptie and Roland Stansell on Friday, 13 to Sunday, 15 February.

The Family Players bring you this all-new comedy drag show featuring some of the greatest divas of the last 100 years of opera.

Joining them on stage is first timer Graham Goodwin, who will be strutting his stuff in heals, and the voices of two hugely talented singers, who will blow you away as they take you on this musical journey. Expect to hear music from top West End classic operas to modern musicals on Broadway. The drag queens have opened those closet doors to bring you some classic old drag numbers from the nightclubs of yesteryear.

The venue will open 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner. Take picnic baskets, and braais will be available should you wish to cook some meat.

Tickets are R120 (R100 for pensioners) and booking is essential.

Book at Computicket or phone or email Roland for bookings on 082 499 8636 or roland@stansell.za.net.
