Perfect Nonsense at the Sneddon

Join Jonathan Roxmouth and Graham Hopkins on an adventure in the West End comedy, Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense.

KICKSTART, in association with Pieter Toerien, will present the South African premiere of the smash hit West End comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on UKZN campus from 4 to 15 February.

Join Jonathan Roxmouth as the effervescent, aristocratic fool Bertie Wooster and Graham Hopkins as his dutiful valet, Jeeves, with Robert Fridjhon as Seppings in the critically acclaimed stage play Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, adapted from the works of PG Wodehouse.

When a country house weekend takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on to play matchmaker, but also to steal a silver cow creamer from Totleigh Towers. Naturally, the ever dependable Jeeves is there to prevent Bertie from making a complete fool of himself in front of a cast of Wodehouse's finest characters.

Enjoy an evening of raucous comedy in the company of Gussie Fink-Nottle, Madeline Bassett, Sir Watkin Bassett, Stiffy Bing, Dahlia Travers, Roderick Spode and Constable Oates.

This production, which opened in Cape Town in September 2014, has enjoyed rave reviews and sold out houses in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Featuring three of South Africa’s greatest actors, and directed and designed by Durban’s own theatrical dream team, Steven Stead and Greg King, this riotous romp is guaranteed to tickle the funny bone and bring a smile to even the most cynical theatre goer.

Performances are scheduled for 7.30pm Tuesday for Saturday, 2.30pm Saturday and 6pm Sunday. Tickets can be booked at Computicket (www.computicket.co.za or 0861 915 8000).
