Zulu dancing at uShaka

Zulu dance troupes will go up against each other in the uShaka Marine World's Zulu Dance Competition.

IN November, uShaka Marine World will reverberate with the rhythmic sounds of African drums as more than 60 dance troupes perform traditional dance when the annual uShaka Marine World Zulu Dance championships get underway.

This competition welcomes thousands of dancers who will compete each Saturday in November (1, 8, 15 and 22) and is open to the public who are sure to enjoy this dance spectacle.

Registration for each event is 9am with the shows starting at 10am. Only the 10 top dance troupes will be singled out to participate in an exciting final on Sunday, 30 November.

First prize is R10 000 cash, a floating trophy and a R600 000 guaranteed working contract from December 2014 to December 2015. The second and third placed troupes will receive cash prizes of R8000 and R5000 respectively.
