GET your tickets now for this year’s White Mountain Festival, which takes place from 24 September.
Known for its intimate, relaxed atmosphere and stunning setting, White Mountain is still one of the best-kept secrets on the festival circuit. It’s also KZN’s only acoustic music festival and is held at White Mountain Lodge near Giant’s Castle, just 185km from Durban, 400km from Johannesburg and only 25km off the N3 on tarred roads.
With its spacious grounds, fishable dam, charming old pub (with satellite TV and live music), restaurant and swimming pool, the lodge’s many amenities add another dimension to the usual festival experience. Also on offer are colourful arts and crafts, assorted food outlets and a beer market featuring several local breweries.
Tickets are currently on sale at Computicket for R650, which includes camping for the entire festival from 24 to 28 September. Computicket has numerous outlets, including the Money Market counters at all Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper stores. You can also buy your tickets online or via the Call Centre at 0861 915 8000. Tickets for children aged four to 11 cost R125. Children under four get in free.
