Benefit concert for paraplegic
Musicians will gather to raise funds for a young man who hopes to walk again.
BADGERS at 130 Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road, Glenwood, will host a benefit concert for Keith Slabbert on 22 February at 3pm to 8pm.
Keith is a 25-year-old who fractured his C4 cervical disc after falling during an epileptic seizure 18 months ago. He has since been paralysed from the chest down.
Funds are being raised to help send him to California to the Project Walk Spinal Chord Recovery Centre.
Family and friends have raised R20 000, however R216 000 is the total needed.
Steve Fataar and Friends, Tiffany Sheppard, Richard Ellis, Nomande Baby and others will perform at Badgers. The rugby will be screened and food and drinks will be available and there are prizes to be won.
