GET to LIVE-The Venue on Saturday 26 October for a special concert to raise funds for Childline. The team at LIVE have provided use of their venue, all necessary equipment and sound crew free of charge and bands; Salty Dog, Customised, East Coast Basement Blues Band, F ‘n Rits, Bobby & The Dynamites, Gainsford, Zwarte Piet Band and Sir Walrus Band have volunteered their services for this great cause. Entry is R50 per person.Doors open at 2pm and the music starts at 3pm. Each band will play a 45 minute set, with a 15 minute turn-around. THE party train chugs back into Durban on Sunday 27 October when Moyo at uShaka Marine World hosts the next Doritos GoodSundae gig. The beats start rolling at 1pm as a host of top artists and DJs start the countdown towards the festive season. On the line-up for the day’s festivities are DJs Benny Maverick, Feel, Lab, Mel, Teabag and Funky Soul, who will be keeping the beats pumping and the party thumping until midnight. The Doritos GoodSundae parties are already becoming legendary as a classy way for urbanites to wind down the weekend in sublime style, and the Moyo bash promises more of the same upmarket revelry. MERSEYSIDE Pub & Tavern , Queensmead Mall, Umbilo, will host a Halloween Party on Thursday 31 October from 7pm. Murphy Music Unlimited will be performing live.
There will be prizes for the best dressed man, woman and couple. Entry is free and there will be light home-made meals available for purchase.
There is karaoke and open mic every Sunday from 12am.
