THE Durban Harbour on a Wednesday evening becomes a flurry of white sails as local yachtsman head out onto the bay for the weekly Twilight Sailing Series.

Traditionally, Wednesday night sailing is a fun, competitive evening of sailing for yacht clubs around the world.

It is an evening that has a competitive edge to it but welcomes newcomers to the wonderful sport of sailing, offering a taste of the action on the water.

A variety of classes of yachts take to the water at twilight, sailing around a set course in the picturesque setting of the Durban Harbour.

Hosted jointly by the Point Yacht Club and the Royal Natal Yacht Club, this fun-filled event invites anyone who would like to come down and experience yachting.

No experience required, the club members will literally, show you the ropes.
