WIN: Dolphins to try capitalise on good start

The Dolphins face the Titans on Thursday at home in Durban.

THE Hollywoodbets Dolphins have managed to win five of their first six games of the Momentum One Day Cup and will be hoping that this Thursday they can solidify their spot on the top of the log when they face the Momentum Multiply Titans at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium.

There have been a number of stand performances from the Dolphins so far in their white ball campaign with batsmen Grant Roelofsen, Sarel Erwee, Khaya Zondo and captain Keshav Maharaj providing the bulk of the runs for the team.

Captain Maharaj has also led the way with the ball and he currently sits at the top of the wicket takers chart with thirteen wickets from the six matches played. Kerwin Mungroo and Rob Frylinck have been consistent throughout for the Dolphins with the ball.

With four games left in the group phase of the competition the Dolphins will be eyeing a strong finish which would ensure that they host a semi-final and potentially a final should they finish top of the log.

The Dolphins face the Titans on Thursday at home in Durban. The Titans are a side that the Dolphins have already beaten this campaign.

A fantastic 147 not out from Grant Roelofsen helped the Dolphins chase down a mammoth score in the return fixture in Pretoria earlier in the season.

White ball cricket has always suited the Dolphins with the side sharing the Momentum One Day Cup two seasons ago with the Warriors so they have a proven track record when it comes to 50 over cricket.

Not only are the Dolphins in good form, but Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium is also looking fantastic. With the renovations to the food courts and a number of other upgrades the stadium experience has become one not to miss.

The Hollywoodbets Chow Corner and the new Castle Corner Food Court are state-of-the-art and customer friendly with huge variety and ample space avoid queues and sit and enjoy a meal or a drink during the innings break.

Play on Thursday will get underway at 1.30pm.
