Run Your City Series boasts three World Athletics label races

The World Athletics Label Road Races awarded the FNB Durban 10km City Surf Run and the FNB Cape Town 12 One Run silver statuses while the FNB Joburg 10K City Run was awarded bronze-status

Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports said they were proud that all three of their signature races in the country’s major cities were duly recognised.

“Each event encourages mass participation while also featuring an Elite Race element. Runners of all ages (male and female) and walks of life are invited to celebrate the magnificent city in which each event is hosted. Each route highlights iconic landmarks and magnificent views while featuring lively performances by leading performing arts groups,” he said.

He said the recognition was a result of high standards being maintained by the organisers and participants. Entries for the Durban City Surf Run open 3 February. Register at: www.durban10k.com

The run will be held on Sunday, 12 July with the start at Blue Lagoon (Athlone Drive) and finish on the beachfront near The Bike and Bean.

Proceeds will be going to The Reach For A Dream Foundation, TREE, Durban and Coast SPCA, LIV Village and iThemba Lethu.
