Quins’ games cancelled

Matches will commence on Saturday, 9 November.

ALL league cricket scheduled for 2 and 3 November was cancelled by eTthewini Cricket Union late on Friday, 1 November due to waterlogged wickets.

On the positive side Harlequins Cricket Club’s second team,managed by Eric Cavanagh, Quins’ third team run by Shane Manicom and the sixth eleven controlled by Keith Baxter are currently on top of their respective leagues. This success is primarily due to astute leadership and management of these teams, combined with a wealth of skills and experience of players.

On Saturday, 9 November the sixth team take on Simplex Crimson 5 at Siripat Road 3 in a 30 over division six encounter from 1.30pm. On Sunday, 10 November, the first team commence their 50 over league campaign with a match against Umlazi at Comtech. The third side verse Chatsworth United in a division three 30 over encounter at Harlequins 1 from 1.30pm and the fourth side challenge Berea Rovers 3 in a 30 over division three game from 1.30pm. The second fifth and U13 teams have byes.

A committee meeting will be held from 6.30pm on Thursday, 7 November. Seniors practice is from 4.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Interested players between the ages of 11 and 13 years can contact Clinton on 071 007 9745 regarding coaching sessions and youth league cricket matches.
