The siblings achieved their Full Contact Martial Arts (FCMA) national colours.

THE price of success for United Martial Arts International sibling duo Acelia and JT Esterhuizen was hard work, dedication, commitment, diligence, enthusiasm, countless hours of training, tears of pain, sweat and the determination that whether they win or lose they had applied the best of themselves.

The siblings achieved their Full Contact Martial Arts (FCMA) national colours after they participated at the FCMA International Championship at the Tongaat Sports Hall on 19 October, representing Team South Africa.

Martial artists from around South Africa, international and surrounding African countries competed in the event.

JT, (8), attained three gold medals and one silver medal while Acelia, (12), attained three gold medals and one bronze medal in Points Fighting, Continuous Fighting, Creative Forms and Creative Weapons divisions respectively.

Kancho Allan Mahomed and Shihan Aslam Mahomed congratulated the siblings on their outstanding achievements. Proud parents/coach Sensei Tobias Esterhuizen and Sensei Seema Esterhuizen were ecstatic with their children’s astonishing achievements.
