The team won the youth section and she was re-awarded colours at school. The final SA team was selected after the nationals competition, and Giulia is part of the team that will travel to Hungary for the Hungarian Open, followed by training in Slovakia, then on to compete in the Senior Worlds competition in Korea.

Another KZN swimmer who will join her on the team is Chloe Starr. Other KZN representatives are the SA team manager, Kelly Sloley, and assistant coach, Penny Dlamini.
