Stella runners excel at Comrades
Stella Athletic Club runners took on the Comrades Marathon this month.
STELLA Athletic Club had 69 starters and 59 finishers in this year’s Comrades Marathon.
Two runners achieved silver medals, Alistair Leslie and Gcina Msibi, and Jadi Clark did incredibly well, coming in as the 36th woman overall in a time of 7h37m.
Phumuza Ngcobo achieved his permanent Green Number (10 medals), Ivan Clark achieved his double Green (20 medals), Edmund Mngadi, Shane Hinchliffe and Pat Freeman all received triple Green (30 medals), with Pat Fisher achieving 31 medals. Pat Freeman ran on behalf of CHOC, raising R35 000 for the child cancer foundation.
