U13 rugby fest showcases young talent

Twenty-eight teams took part in the event.

YOUNG rugby players showed off their flair and willpower for the game at the Glenwood High School U13 Rugby festival which took

place last week.The 28 teams that participated included Amanzimtoti, Concordia, Constantia park 1, Constantia park 2, Dalview, Dphs 1, Dphs 2, Empangeni prep, Glenwood all-stars, Glenwood prep 1, Glenwood prep 2

Kruinpark, KZN Development, Northlands, Nuwe Republiek, Orion, Paulpietersburg, Penzance, Port Natal, Rustenburg, Sand du Plessis, South Coast Warriors, Thabazimbi, Tzaneen, Umhlali, Van Riebeek Park, Westville and Winston Park.

The boys played open and competitive rugby and gave their all for their team.

The three players who received awards for their overall talent and potential were: Player of the Festival: Sisonke Ndlela (Glenwood Prep); Backline Player of the Festival: Lehlo Ngaka-Bless (Glenwood Prep) and Forward Player of the Festival: Chris Cloete (Glenwood Prep) and Luan Olivier (Laerskool Constantia Park).
