Cows milk fundraising efforts

The Cows raised to R1,67 million for CHOC.

DEDICATED fundraisers for the Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa (CHOC), better known as The Cows, raised a whopping R1.67 million at this year’s Comrades Marathon.

Capetonian Cow Axel Ritterhaus single-handedly raised almost R80 000 for CHOC, with the top ten all managing to each raise in excess of R20 000.

While many runners are familiar locals, it was the Australian athlete Darren Wood, who garnered acclaim. His contribution amassed from his supporters in Australia weighted by Australian dollars shot him into the top ten of the overall charity fundraisers list, inspiring him to continue his fundraising for the South African childhood cancer charity.
