Take on awareness run

The UKZN 90 90 90 United Nations AIDS (UNAIDS) 5km fun run/walk will be on 4 August.

THE University of KwaZulu-Natal’s (UKZN) HIV and AIDS Programme will host its 3rd annual United Nations AIDS (UNAIDS) 5km fun run/walk to raise awareness on HIV testing and treatment on Saturday, 4 August.

The event supports the UNAIDS 90-90-90 treatment targets to end the spread of HIV by 2030.

The start and end location will be Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, 719 Umbilo Road, Durban, and the run will go along to Magwaza Maphalala Street and King Dinuzulu Park back to the campus.

MEC for Health Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo will be the guest of honour at the event. Other guests include UKZN executives, civil society leadership, and UKZN students.

All are welcome to participate. The event runs from 8am to 10am with an awards ceremony from 11am to 12.30pm.
