Get out and about in nature this weekend with a local hiking club.

Durban Ramblers Hiking Club will hike at Virginia Bush Nature Reserve (Durban North) on Saturday, 10 February.

Meet at 1.45pm at the Virginia Beach parking. The walk will be inside forested area in the Virginia Bush Nature Reserve and back down for a beach hike.

R20 donation towards the upkeep of the reserve. Drinks afterwards at Virginia Beach so take your own drinks and chairs.

Grade 2 – moderate; distance is ±8km. Contact the hike leader, Jon on 082 459 1522.

 

On Sunday, 11 February, the group will do the Bluff Walkabout.

Hike around the Bluff, including the old airport site and then back to Harlequins for social drinks. Parking R5.

AMBLERS Hiking Club will hike to “Mac Falls” at 5.45am on Saturday, 10 February.

Hike to “Mac Falls” from Caltex Winston Park via the shortcut down into Giba and on to the falls return to your vehicles via the forest route.

At 2pm on Sunday, 11 February, the group will hike the Winston Park circular from the end of Jan Smuts Avenue.

Views over the Monastery and Pinetown. Fairly level hike along edge of escarpment. Meet at 2pm at the end of Jan Smuts Avenue. Contact David on 072 615 0559.
