“To achieve a gold medal in kumite at a KSA (Karate South Africa) national development event, is an achievement that any coach would be proud of,” said Pillay.

Gregory said: “I am thankful to my parents who have sacrificed their time with taking me to training sessions four times a week. I am also very grateful to my coach, Shihan Brando who trained me and motivated me to push myself beyond my own limits.”
