DHS hosts waterpolo tourney

Durban High School will be hosting its U16 Waterpolo Tournament from 6 to 8 October.

THERE will be exciting school waterpolo action at the Durban High School U16 Waterpolo Tournament this weekend.

The tournament will run from Friday, 6 to Sunday, 8 October from 7am each day.

This year, 16 teams from around the country will be participating, including DHS, Clifton, Glenwood, Northwood, St Benedict’s, St Andrew’s, Hilton, Selborne, Westville, St John’s, Affies, KES, St Alban’s, St Stithians, Kearsney and St David’s.

With the success of this event for the past four years, Durban High School is anticipating a weekend full of good team spirit and exhilarating performances from the U16 players.

The programme of events will see teams being divided into four groups with the top two from each group going through to the quarter-finals.

The rest will go through to the play-off games according to their finishing position in the group stage, which will be held on day two and day three, with the finals at 1.15pm on Sunday.
