THE 2017 Sani Dragon in the Southern Drakensberg, a two-day MTB stage race, gets underway on 30 September and 1 October.
The event will be based at the Premier Resort Sani Pass and takes place over the same period as the annual Underberg Farmer’s Association (UFA) Agricultural Show.
Enter the Sani Dragon which consists of a 50km loop around Underberg and Himeville (7am start) and a 42km race to the summit of Sani Pass and back, finishing at Premier Resort Sani Pass (6.30am start on day two).
The Sani Dragon Lite, a +-35km ride, will start at the Premier Hotel Himeville Arms and finish at the Premier Resort Sani Pass and stage two on day two will be a 26km ride, including a climb to the SA Border Post back to the Premier Resort Sani Pass.
Participants can take part in either in teams of two riders or individually in either event.

Entries close on 22 September. Registration will be from 2pm to 6pm on Friday, 29 September at the event venue, Premier Resort Sani Pass on the Sani Pass Road.
