Get out and about in nature this weekend with Durban Ramblers Hiking Club.

GET outdoors and explore local hiking trails this weekend with other hikers.

Durban Ramblers Hiking Club will hike the Beacon Trail (KKNR) on Saturday 15 October.

Meet at 1.45pm at the KKNR main entrance for a hike through the forest then up to the open grassland and the beacon. Entrance fee is R25.

Meet afterwards for drinks at the Nature Café in Kloof Falls Road. Grade 2-3 – moderate to strenuous, vertigo warning. Distance is ±6km.

On Sunday 16 October, the group will hike at Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve (Yellowwood Park). While the Amashova is on in Durban, follow a variety of paths meandering across this popular nature reserve.

Always some game to view. Meet 7.30am inside the reserve gate. Entrance is R25. Grade 2, distance is ±10km.

MOUNTAIN Backpackers Club will hike at Kloof Gorge on Saturday 15 October at 8.30am. Meet at Ezemvelo car park in Kloof Falls Road. The route will be decided on the day.
