DHS to host waterpolo tourney

DHS hosts the 150th U16 waterpolo tournament on 7 October.

EXCITING schools' waterpolo action will be hosted at Durban High School's 150th U16 Waterpolo Tournament from Friday, 7 October to Sunday, 9 October from 7am each day.

This year, 17 teams from around the country will be participating. The teams are DHS, Glenwood High, Jeppe Boys', St David's, Selborne College, Clifton, KES, Parktown Boys', St Andrew's, Westville Boys', St Benedicts, Affies, St John's, St Albans, Hilton College and St Stithians.

With the success of this event for the past three years, Durban High School is anticipating a weekend full of good team spirit and exhilarating performances from the U16 players.

The programme of events will see teams being divided into four groups with the top two from each group going through to the quarter-finals. The rest will go through to the playoff games according to their finishing position in the group stage, which will be held on day two and day three, with the finals taking place at 2pm on Sunday (day 3).
