Pink run fun for the whole family

PinkDrive is set to empower Durbanites at the Totalsports Women’s Race.

PINKDRIVE, together with the Totalsports Women’s Race will take their fight against cancer to the streets of Durban on Sunday, 17 July.

The event takes place from Berea Rovers Sports Club, and with two fun races to choose from, a 5km run/fun walk and a 10km run/fun walk, the Totalsports Women’s Race is ideal for the whole family, from moms with prams, children, husbands, family and friends.

“Cancer, specifically breast cancer, is one of the largest pandemics that women are faced with in South Africa. PinkDrive’s motto of ‘early detection saves lives’ has resonated with us. We believe that sport changes lives and together with PinkDrive we look forward to doing just that. We are proud to continue our support and can’t wait to welcome entrants to the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban,” said Charmaine Claasens, head of marketing for Totalsports.

A non-profit company, PinkDrive is committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering free services to the medically uninsured across South Africa. PinkDrive will be present at the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban offering free clinical breast examinations and educating on the importance of self- breast examinations.

Totalsports Women’s Race entrants can help make a difference by supporting the pink “Shop4Cancer” at the Berea Rovers Sports Club on the day of the event.

Entry is R100 for the 10km (licensed runner) and R60 for 5km, and fees are R110 for 10km for an unlicensed runner (temporary license included).
