MTB and trail run challenge for all
The Husqvarna Classic Mid-Illovo MTB Challenge and Trail Run will be on Sunday 24 April.
ENTRIES are now open for the 2016 Husqvarna Classic Mid-Illovo MTB Challenge and Trail Run, with race options to suit the whole family.
This year the race takes place two weeks before Sani2C, giving mountain bikers a perfect pre-Sani training opportunity, and offers a new, longer riding route.
Be sure to get your entry in early as there are limited entries and great prizes for this very popular event, which runs on Sunday 24 April at the Mid-Illovo Club in KZN.
The race route incorporates miles of top-notch single-track for riders and, as an added bonus, the 40km takes competitors through two game reserves – the Gwahumbe Game and Spa and iNsingizi Game and Spa.
The serious mountain bikers can now choose either the new 60km Husqvarna Classic MTB X-treme or the 40km Husqvarna Classic route, while fun riders have the choice of an 18km Gwahumbe Family Experience or the 10km route, which is free entry for the under 12s.
For rail runners, the 15km or the 8km iNsingizi trail routes offer superlative trails through indigenous KZN bushlands and grasslands.
