LOCAL school boys took part in the annual Glenwood High School U13 Cricket Festival from 19 to 20 February.
The format changed this year to a 20/20 tournament and 14 teams from in and around Durban, including local teams from Glenwood Prep, Penzance and Manor Gardens, played in the event at the weekend. Overall team winner was Umhlali Prep.
Dolphin’s player Cody Chetty was the guest for this year’s festival prize giving and awarded three players who achieved for their overall talent and potential.
Best batsman of the festival was Slade van Staden (Umhlali Prep), bowler of the festival was Jared Finlay (Glenwood Prep) and best all rounder of the festival was Jesse Vorster (Benjamin Pine).
