THE next Gunslinger Skateboarding event, the Slide Jam, is on Sunday 13 December in Acton Road, Umbilo, from 9am to 2pm.
This is a competition to see who can do the longest slide down a hill. There are various criteria that the skaters have to follow. It’s an exciting day for the skaters because proper road closure has been arranged, and sponsors (Quiksilver, Bos Ice Tea & Surf HQ) will join in for some great prizes. The event is open to any skater who thinks they’ve got what it takes to do the longest slide down a hill or any spectator who enjoys some fast-paced action.
