Wild Coast challenge for mountain bikers

Mountain bike enthusiasts have another challenge to add to their Spring calendar with The Wild Coast Sun Mountain Bike Challenge

THE Wild Coast Sun mountain bike challenge will take place on the last day of this month (31 October) and with over R23 000 in prize money up for grabs, bike enthusiasts will be flocking at the chance to compete.

Three routes have been mapped out for participants of different fitness levels. Bikers can choose from 40km, 20km and 10km which is best suited as a fun ride for children and beginners. The event will begin and end at The Wild Coast Sun.

The route will take participants on a scenic and adventurous journey through unique landscapes, dirt roads and private beaches. There will be a host of fun activities available after the ride. A fair will take place and participants will receive free entry to The Wild Coast Sun and 50 per cent off their entry into the Wild Waves Water Park for the day.

PR and Promotions Manager Sandi Burger said the Eastern Cape region was becoming a favourite for mountain bike enthusiasts as it offered great scenery, diverse landscapes and quiet dirt roads.
