Boys excel at soccer tourney

WESTRIDGE High School under 19 boys’ football team participated in the KZN Top Schools Championships on 29 August.

The event was held over two days at Cato Manor Sports Complex. Numerous schools from all over KZN participated in the weekend tournament.

The Westridge High School football team was placed 2nd in the tournament and five learners from the team were selected to represent KZN in Pretoria in December. Luyanda Khanyile from Westridge High was awarded the captaincy of the KZN team.

Ricardo Hiraman teacher, manager and coach, expressed how dedicated these boys were in training leading up to the tournament. He also commented on the honor and pride these learners have brought to the school.
